Greetings All,
Spent some time with Jack early this morning, he's really become a big favorite of the NICU Staff, they all stop by and see him even when they're not working in his specific area. They removed the feeding tube from his stomach this morning and he is now getting food/nutrients from an IV in his little hand. He seems to be coping well with all the attention and visitors he has been getting. He's so much fun to watch when he decides to stretch his long skinny legs and arms. He's definitely a candidate for Aunt Kathleen's yoga class in the future. Even at 2.2lbs. he seems to look better each time we see him. The doctors say he should start receiving Moms breast milk by the end of the week which will be great for his overall growth. There will be some big tests in the coming days to determine if there were any problems during birth, we are all hopeful for positive results. Mom is doing well, she has been up walking the halls and keeping a close eye on presidential election activities. At this moment Jack seems to be in the undecided category as to his political affiliation, who knows we could always use an Independent in the family. Mom will most likely be discharged from the hospital sometime on Thursday. Jack will remain in the NICU for quite sometime so let us know if you want to schedule a time to come up and see him. All for now, thanks again for all your thoughts and prayers, they truly mean a great deal to all of us.
Love,
Mom, Jack and Dad
We'll soon have pictures up on the site so you can get a sneak preview of the 2028 starting White Sox shortstop!!!!!!!!

Baby Jack is surrounded by so much love! It was a very special day when he arrived - with his extended family taking over the visitors center. Despite his tiny size, he gave a BIG stretch when I met him. I am thinking and praying for him! Love, Aunt Kathleen
