Hi Everyone,
Today is my Dad's birthday! I'm so lucky to have such a great Dad who takes awesome care of me. He is here everyday checking on me and talking to the nurses and doctors about my progress and next steps. He bought a really big book on preemies and when I'm sleeping (which I do often) he reads the book so he'll know what to expect next.
Mom says that he is the one keeping it all together for our family. When she was in the hospital, Dad stayed with her every night and took wonderful care of her. Since Mom is still recovering, Dad takes care of everything at home so it's easier on Mom. When Mom is up pumping in the middle of the night, Dad will get up and clean the bottles and get everything ready for the next feeding, he also cooks for Mom and makes sure she is getting enough rest.
Mom says I get my long arms and legs from Dad and that I'm going to be tall like him when I grow up. I can't wait until I'm older and big and strong just like my Dad. My cousin Danny, who was born in September and weighs 25 lbs, will have nothing on me in a few years.
Every time Mom holds me she tells me how lucky we both are to have Dad in our lives.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DAD, I LOVE YOU VERY MUCH!
your son,
Jack
