Jack Loftus Smith was born to proud parents, Jim and Margaret, on Sunday, March 2nd, 2008 at 3:36pm at Northwestern Hospital. Jack was welcomed into the world by having many of his family and friends at the hospital, especially, Grandma and Grandpa Houlihan, Aunts Kathleen, Bridget/Mike, Godmother Nora, Uncle Marty, Aunt Susan, Uncle John and many more friends and relatives. Special thanks to Aunt Cathy and Uncle Jimmy Loftus for stopping by. Special Aunts Lace, Patty and Chris were also on hand to welcome Jack.
Jack had a good nite on Sunday, he was able breathe mostly on his own which was a big accomplishment. Although things progressed well during Jack's first hours and he did well his first night, as you can imagine Jack has many hills to climb to be out of the woods but we are all very positive and hopeful for a bright and healthy future.
We can't begin to thank everyone for all your thoughts and prayers these last few days. We will be posting updates as often as possible to let you know how Jack and Mom are doing. Thanks for all your support, we are very blessed.
Love,
Margaret, Jack and Jim.

Congratulations, Jack, you've chosen excellent parents which shows your wisdom & good taste. If Godmother Nora is taking so many pictures, where are they? Get on it, Jack. We want to see your handsome face, even if your mom & dad are also in them.
All the best to the happy family,
Connie Brennan, your(3rd,4th,5th?) cousin
Jimmy & Margaret,
