Hello everyone,
Jack had a good nite and so far has experienced a very good day. He's had a few reflux problems but nothing significant. He continues to grow, now on the verge of breaking 3lbs, he currently weighs 2lbs, 15ounces. The docs were pleased that he hasn't had any severe apnea spells today. We continue to be encouraged by the small steps that Jack seems to be taking.
Aunt Kathleen was back today from her international travel and was amazed that Jack has grown so much. She brought Jack a special doll from her travels. Great Aunt Cathy and cousin Mary Kate also stopped by to visit Jack, they really enjoyed seeing Jack and marveled at how well he is doing. Mom was able to do Kangaroo Care for three hours which was a very special treat. Jack was so comfortable he slept almost the entire time. Mom really has been great at bringing a calm presence to Jack. Grandma Houlihan also stopped by to see Jack and Mom.
What a wonderful Easter season this has been for us. Although Jack has had some real roadblocks this week we are hoping the worst is behind him. There are many more ups and downs ahead of us but we are very happy he has overcome this latest test. We wish everyone a very Happy Easter.
